Tamil hero Vishal has good market in Telugu right from the days of
Pandem Kodi. He has been giving Telugu audience mass movies with a
difference from a long time. With Rayudu he returns to out and out mass
after a long time and different scripts. While many might not know
Mutthaiah in Telugu, he has given a big success in Tamil with his last
outing and now he combines with Vishal to continue the success. Let us
now get into the review.
Story:
Rolex Bachi (RK Suresh) works under Bhairavudu (Radha Ravi) as soon
with the ambition of becoming a politician on day. However his ambition
has a threat due to a person related to Bhagya Lakshmi (Sri Divya).
While this is happening Rayudu (Vishal) loves Bhagya Lakshmi (Sri Divya)
because her grandmother thinks she is a perfect match. What happens
when Rayudu and Rolex Bachi come against each other and how it all ends
is the basic story of the film?
Performances:
Vishal once again is in fine form. He gets into the skin of a new
character and does an outstanding job. The actor has been doing roles
like this from the past few films in different backdrops and nailing
them with ease. Here too it’s no different and he carries the role
effortlessly be it emotionally or comically.
Sri Divya is a given a tough role and she nails it perfectly. The
dubbing in Telugu is a great asset for the part and it goes with her
character in the film.
Soori has played a similar role in many other films of Vishal and the
camaraderie between the two can be felt instantaneously. Apart from him
veteran actress Leela gets a very important role and she delivers the
requirement with great ease.
RK Suresh plays the role of baddie with great ease. An example of his
good performance can be gauged from the fact that one starts to hate
him very much by the end of the movie.
Other actors are aptly cast in this commercial entertainer based on the scope they provide.

Analysis:
Director Muthuramaiah has handled a simple plot with great care. He
makes sure that the emotional angle is present till the end. Even though
this is a mass film, there are no fights for the sake of fights and
they come whenever they are necessary.
First half of the film flows smoothly with good twists and turns,
keeping the audience engaged. It is in the second half that the film
gets streamlined into a straight up mass masala movie with all its
predictability. One knows what is going to happen eventually but still
the director manages t keep us hooked which is the biggest success of
the film.
Music by D Imman is good and so is background score. Cinematography
by Velraj is fabulous. Editing by LK Praveen is fine. The film should
have been a little shorter but it’s alright. Production values that are
true to the story of the film are good.
